recently, it is time to do it now.
Have you noticed your balance is wrong?
No longer get a GREEN light(bottom right) in network?
Been paid but it's not showing up in transactions?
Older versions of Electrum LTC were still usable until last night.
Older versions of Electrum BTC stopped working weeks ago.
Latest versions.
LTC - 3.1.3.1
BTC - 3.1.3
To update.
Luckily, updating Electrum is painless but just to make sure
you have everything covered. Do this first for LTC and BTC.
1. Make sure you have backed up your seed. If you have not,
click on --> Wallet --> Seed. Enter your password(which you
should have set up). Your seed will be displayed(12 words).
Copy those words to paper or a text file and keep them safe.
2. Export your private keys to a csv or json file.
Wallet --> Private Keys --> Export. Save file as csv/json or
do both. Make a note of the exported file location(s) and copy
it to usb/notepad.
Now that you have backups, just in case anything goes wrong,
time to update your wallet.
